Biography of Baba Sri Chand Ji

Sri Chand (September 8, 1494 – January 13, 1629, Gurmukhi: ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚੰਦ), also known as Baba Sri Chandra or Bhagwan Sri Chandra, was the founder of the Udasi sect of ascetic Sadhus.

He was Guru Nanak’s (the first Guru and founder of Sikhism) eldest son. On Bhadra sudi 9, 1551 Bikrami (September 8, 1494), he was born to Mata Sulakhani. According to Sikh sources, he lived from 8 September 1494 to 13 January 1629, making him 134 years old at the time of his death.
